It was reported the awful incident happened at about 4:05 am as the three-storey building collapsed completely, leaving the occupants trapped.
Neighbor around alerted the emergency responders about the incident. On arrival, the first victim to be recovered was a male child, who was confirmed dead.
Although, six other occupants of the building have been rescued and currently being treated by Lagos State Ambulance Services, LASSMBUS, personnel, while the dead child was taken to a morgue.
Meanwhile, proper investigation is still on going at the site of incident, as Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA; Lagos State Ministry of Physical Planning, Police and other relevant agencies are on ground to further investigate the incident.
LASEMA Director-General, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, has confirmed the incident, saying investigations will be conducted to unravel the cause.
